Movement AI source and build notes
This independent Mabni adaptation uses the MIT-licensed CreateAI trainer, pinned to upstream commit 7b1a2602841d4272c8e21ec30492ea36421c2abe. It trains and tests movement models locally. Inference on a physical board requires micro:bit V2.

Rebuild the trainer
Extract the source and install Node.js and npm matching package.json. In the source directory run npm ci --engine-strict=false, which applies the included patches and brand setup. Set BASE_URL=/microbit/createai/ and VITE_STAGE=local, then run npm run typecheck and npm run build. Copy dist into microbit/createai. This preparation needs package downloads; the finished classroom distribution requires neither Node.js nor internet access.
Use the included simulator source to rebuild microbit/ml-sim with Vite. The ML extension and native runner sources are in microbit/extensions. The local MakeCode target includes both packages, and build.json lists the five compiled native firmware caches. The packaged editor never falls back to cloud compilation. New native extensions require preparing another cache before taking the lab offline.
Local modifications and data
The adaptation changes branding, home proportions, help links, logging and consent. MakeCode editing and block rendering point to the local editor. Cloud-share imports and feedback are removed. Twenty-two real practice recordings train Shake, Still and Circle; three separate recordings test genuine predictions. The simulator lets learners trigger named ML events without a board.
Projects and recordings save in this browser. Save HEX files and export recordings before clearing browser data or changing the site address. USB/Bluetooth discovery, flashing and physical movement have not been tested because no board was available.
