Make something yours

Three Mabni starter cards. Every block, picture and sound you need is already here.

  1. A character that listens. Open Events. Drag “when green flag clicked” into the workspace. Snap a Motion “move 10 steps” block under it. Press the green flag. Try changing 10 to 50.
  2. A talking forest. Choose a forest backdrop. Add an animal from the sprite library. Connect “when this sprite clicked” to a Looks “say Hello!” block. Change the message and click your character.
  3. A musical dance. Add Music from the extension button. Under a green flag, add a Control “repeat 10” block. Put a drum beat and a Motion “turn 15 degrees” inside it. Try different sounds and repeat counts.

Keep your creation: Save stores it in this browser. Download .sb3 makes a portable copy; Open .sb3 brings it back.

Music, Pen, Video Sensing and Makey Makey work locally. The micro:bit extension connects directly through Web Bluetooth in Chrome or Edge at localhost or trusted HTTPS. It needs no native helper. A local Scratch Link 2 transport is also available for a prepared lab. Hardware setup and bundled Scratch firmware.

This independent adaptation uses the Scratch editor 5.3.0. Scratch is a project of the Scratch Foundation; this adaptation is not endorsed by the Foundation.
