MABNI · CLASSROOM PILOT PROPOSAL

Help teachers bring digital learning into the classroom.

Support a practical trial of coding, digital skills and introductory AI activities at three school or NGO learning sites. The proposed pilot uses existing computers, a local network and teacher-led sessions, with remote guidance from MABNI.

Three sites · Four sessions per site · Six weeks

Indicative sponsorship budget: US$900 in total

MABNI's educational use remains free under its published terms. Sponsorship supports the preparation, technical help and evaluation needed to test classroom use.

What the pilot would provide

A proposed first learning sequence

1. Digital skills: mouse and keyboard practice and an everyday computer task.

2. Coding: instructions, prediction and debugging.

3. Creativity: a small Scratch or ScratchJr story.

4. Introductory AI: training examples, patterns and discussion of errors.

Each teacher would lead four sessions of about 35–45 minutes. The sequence is a starting point to adapt, not an accredited curriculum or a promise of learning gains.

Start small, then expand

We would begin with one site's setup and first activity, review the practical difficulties, and then proceed to the other two sites. The six-week delivery period would start on a date agreed with the participating sites and sponsor. Participants and dates are not yet confirmed.

What participating sites need

A nominated teacher, a Windows 10/11 64-bit main PC, learner computers with suitable browsers, a functioning local network and power during sessions. The main PC stays running while learners connect through the classroom network. Download MABNI and any required setup software before taking the classroom offline. Optional hardware, camera and USB activities have additional requirements; the first pilot can use browser activities without purchasing boards.

Sites provide their existing equipment and teacher delivery time. We agree activities, support needs and arrangements for learner work with the authorised site lead before starting.

How the US$900 budget is planned

Pilot workIndicative amount
Readiness and remote setup guidanceUS$180
Teacher orientationUS$60
Four-session teacher materialsUS$120
Scheduled teacher helpUS$180
Technical issue review and agreed fixesUS$160
Report and one brief repeat-use follow-upUS$100
Contingency reserveUS$100
Total indicative budgetUS$900

The estimate allows 40 hours of preparation and support at US$20 per hour, plus the contingency reserve. It covers the whole three-site pilot, not a per-school charge. It assumes existing equipment and teacher-led delivery. Travel, equipment purchases, printing, teacher salaries, major new features and continuing support are outside this scope. Any required taxes or payment charges would be clarified before agreement.

The final scope, dates, responsibilities and payment terms are agreed before a commitment. Contingency is used only for agreed pilot work; its handling is included in that agreement. Sponsorship availability does not guarantee a place or start date before site readiness is checked.

What we would report

The report would show setup time, sessions delivered, attendance totals supplied by teachers, interruptions, support needed and whether teachers can restart the system independently. Repeat use would be checked separately after the pilot. We would describe difficulties and missing information as well as successes.

Our proposed delivery targets are at least nine of twelve sessions completed, all three teachers able to restart their setup, and at least two sites having used MABNI again by the later follow-up. These are targets for a practical trial, not results already achieved or proof of educational impact.

Website visits and downloads do not establish classroom adoption. The offline package does not report classroom use to MABNI's public usage counters; this pilot would use agreed teacher feedback. Sponsor reports would contain aggregate findings, without learner names or identifiable work. A site's name, testimonial or case study would be published only with its approval.

About MABNI

MABNI is a personal education initiative by Ahmad Choueib in Lebanon. It offers online activities and a Windows package for classroom use over a local network. Paid website and digital services also help support its education work.

This is a proposal to support a defined implementation project. MABNI is not presented as a registered charity, and no tax-deductible donation receipt is offered. A sponsor's eligibility and recipient requirements must fit the agreed arrangement.

Let's discuss a suitable classroom pilot.
